“Stories are flowing from my mind and fingertips.”
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work is a calcuolatory process where one calculation leads to the next and so on, until the dialectic, the energy and the opposing forces are interesting and complete to me. The finished “image” is a compilation of my ideas and experiences and my reaction to the materials I am using. I manipulate them to build a language of personal imagery that, to me, is aesthetically pleasing, thought-provoking and at times, humorous. I encourage the viewer to interpret their meaning based on their own experiences. I work primarily with acrylic on canvas, paper, and wood.
