Generations showcases a selection of distinguished alumni from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Department of Art & Art History. This exhibit highlights twelve exceptional artists who, since graduating, continue to make significant contributions to the art world. The show features a variety of media from fibers and sculpture to painting, photography, and installation.

Curated by Andrew Leventis, Professor of Painting at UNC Charlotte, and Lucy Graham-Fleishman, recent owner and director of the George Gallery in Charlotte, Generations features artists Elizabeth Arzani, Austin Ballard, Jamila Brown, Kalin Devone, Sharon Dowell, Nathaniel Lancaster, Laura Alma McCarthy, Kenny Nguyen, Parks Sadler, Andrea Vail, Chris Watts, and Ajane Williams. These artists make significant contributions to the artworld at regional, national, and international levels, with their work collected by public and private collectors in a range of cities including Charlotte, New York, Singapore, Los Angeles, and London.

Generations is on view by appointment from November 8 to December 16 and is part of the 2024 Organizer Series at Hodges Taylor which is programmed from a selection of proposals received through an open call for projects.
